It is in full working order, ready to install. This 0-40 MPH unit can replace the 0-60 of same shape which was used on earlier Exercisers. Panel retainer bracket. There is no accumulated mileage; its just passing 0000.1.

This head can be used on any size of front wheel, as these Huret model's are calibrated by the drive hub not included, not speedometer. The calibration speed and mileage is set by the drive hub, not speedo head, so dial reading will remain correct. I may have those available in one of my other listings. Both Exerciser panel mountings and handlebar mounting brackets use the same collar nut included. See my other listings for some examples.

In fact, you can use this on a bicycle too, if swap out the black panel gasket for handlebar mounting bracket. See my other listings for more vintage Schwinn items. This has had a complete rebuild and reconditioning, is all ready to go. NOTES: Drive cable and drive hub are not included.

It has a polished chrome rim, glass face, and painted gray hammertoe textured enamel housing, with white numbers on black dial orange pointer coloring. Black panel mounting gasket. It has been completely cleaned, freshly lubricated, reset, polished, waxed and reassembled.

Both the bezel and painted case were polished to restore shine, then waxed keep it that way. If you do not see it in the photos, is included. Handlebar bracket, drive cable and hub are not included. This is a fully rebuilt and reset example of Huret-built Schwinn Approved 0-40 MPH speedometer head, to fit Exerciser model's XR-4 through XR-8 replacing either the earlier 0-60 or later version.

This Schwinn Approved Huret speedo head fits any size of bicycle; the correct reading is determined by or drive hub sold separately, which should be stamped with front wheel for your bike. The speedometer head is 2 3/8 wide, high and 1 5/8 deep.
